Drawing on the theories of Le Guin, K. Ha, Quijano, Tsing, Haraway, and others, this work interrogates the complicity of architectural practice within prevailing power structures. Simultaneously, it examines resilient practices in Berlin—existing despite destructive realities—as proposals for alternative futures of communal living.
By giving these ideas spatial form and embedding them within a fictional narrative, they transform into tools for critical reflection and the imaginative exploration of possible futures.
“It´s these shared spaces or what we call „haunted landscapes“, that relentlessly trouble the narratives of Progress and urge us to radically imagine worlds that are possible because they are already here.”
(Arts of living on a damaged planet, G12
Tsing, Bubandt, Swanson, Gan)
